About 60 priests were present during the diaconate ordination of five (5) young religious of the Indonesian Province. The celebration that took place in the Minor Seminary of Palembang was presided by the Mgr. Aloysius Sudarso SCJ, the Archbishop of Palembang. The Committee chose the Seminary as a place for the ordination in order to encourage all seminarians to live their vocation as future religious or priests.
The five new deacons were Louis Anthony Wijaya, Alfonsus Zeam Rudi, Eduardus Sriyanto, Antonius Suedi Oki Kuncoro, and Paulus Guntoro. The last two new deacons (Oki and Guntoro) will continue their missions in TImika, Papua; while the other three will serve in three different dioceses: Jakarta, Tanjungkarang, and Palembang. May the Holy Spirit accompany them always in their missions.
