Allocution sur le Père Dehon
IT – Don Crinon, ex alunno del Collegio S. Giovanni di Saint-Quentin, ha la forza del testimone diretto nel presentarci, in una allocuzione pronunciata il 15.11.1925, l'uomo di cultura e di preghiera, il fondatore che è stato spogliato di tutto, il sacerdote-vittima che offre continuamente la sua sofferenza. La figura di P. Dehon esce fuori viva nei suoi lineamenti fisici, nel suo comportamento, nei suoi insegnamenti, nel suo stile di incontrare le persone.
EN – Ex-pupil of the College of St John at St Quentin, Don Crinon was able to give us a direct presentation of the Founder in a talk on 15.11.25. He spoke of the man of culture and prayer, the one who was deprived of everything, the priest-victim who continued to offer up his sufferings. The figure of Fr Dehon emerges vividly: his physical stature, his deportment, his teaching and his way of dealing with people.

FR – Dans la deuxième et dernière partie de son article, l'auteur présente, à base des Notes Quotidiennes et de quelques lettres du P. Dehon, le déroulement du long procès injuste et honteux qui, malgré l'opposition tenace du Fondateur, a conduit à l'expropriation de la maison-mère Sacré-Coeur de Saint-Quentin, des maisons de Fourdrain et S. Clément de Fayet, ainsi qu'à la dispersion des religieux de la Congrégation naissante.
EN – In the second and final part of his presentation the author, on the basis of the Daily Notes and some letters of Fr Dehon, recounts the long, unjust and shameful events which, despite the tenacious opposition of the Founder, led to the expropriation of the Sacred Heart mother-house at Saint Quentin, the houses of Fourdrain and St Clement de Fayet, as well as the dispersion of the members of the young religious institute.

FR – Ce qui a motivé l'auteur à choisir le thème de la RM pour son travail de licence est sa conviction que notre charisme doit se faire oraison pour s'alimenter de l'intérieur. Un des instruments pratiques que le Fondateur nous a laissés pour penser l'histoire, juger les événements et affronter les défis du monde est l'exercice de piété de la RM. C'est un exercice éminemment christologique qui constitue le fondement de la vocation et de la mission SCJ. Elle montre l'icône du Sauveur que le religieux SCJ doit contempler et annoncer par sa vie: le Christ Victime Pascale. Le fil conducteur des "quatre heures" est de faire la volonté du Père.
EN – The reason why the author chose the theme of RM for his licentiate thesis was his conviction that our charism considers prayer to be a central factor in nourishing of the interior life. The RM is one of the practical exercises the Founder left us as a means of reflecting on history, discerning the meaning of what is happening in our lives and meeting the challenges of the world. It is a thoroughly Christological exercise at the heart of our SCJ vocation and mission. Christ the Easter Victim is the ikon of the Saviour that we should contemplate and give witness to with our lives. The guiding force of the ‘four hours' is obedience to the Father's will.

La valeur de la personne humaine chez le P. Dehon
IT – Su un problema soprattutto oggi così profondamente sentito, quale quello del valore e della dignità della persona umana, l'autore indica nella spiritualità del Cuore di Gesù lo sfondo della visione propria di P. Dehon. L'Incarnazione è il fondamento della dignità unica ed inalienabile dell'uomo, in quanto l'assunzione dell'umano da parte del Verbo significa già che l'uomo sarà sempre la migliore icona di Dio. Ed è a partire dal Cuore di Gesù che si capisce l'esistenza così “umana” del P. Dehon nei suoi confronti con il prossimo, il suo essere “uomo di cuore”. L'autore passa poi in rassegna non solo la svariata attività che rispecchia la sua spiritualità, ma anche la dottrina di P. Dehon su tre aspetti pratici in ordine alla liberazione dell'uomo: l'educazione, l'impegno sociale e il progresso tecnico-scientifico.
EN – The value and dignity of the human person are themes that have great relevance today. The author finds the source of Fr Dehon's vision in the spirituality of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. The Incarnation is the foundation of the unique and inalienable dignity of humanity since the assumption of a human nature on the part of the Word means that men and women will always be the best ikon of God. The spirituality of the Heart of Jesus gives us the clue to the genial way Fr Dehon dealt with others and his own very human heart. The author looks not only at the various activities that reflect Fr Dehon's spirituality, but also his teaching. The latter has three practical aspects connected with human development: education, social activity and scientific progress.

Le cœur sacerdotal de Jésus
FR – Le P. Domínguez guide le lecteur à travers 33 méditations "destinées particulièrement aux prêtres et aux clercs" (sous-titre de l'opuscule du P. Dehon). La christologie sous-jacente à cette oeuvre part du mystère de la Sainte Trinité, parce que Jésus exerce son sacerdoce uni au Père, oint par l'Esprit Saint. Le prêtre doit tendre à la sainteté en faisant usage de l'abondance des moyens mis à sa disposition et en suivant trois grandes lignes de spiritualité: Jésus-Christ au centre, une vie d'engagement et de sacrifice offerte à Dieu pour le peuple, une vie totalement caractérisée par l'amour. De cette orientation spirituelle dérivent les lignes pastorales.
EN – Fr Dominguez gives the reader 33 meditations ‘destined in a special way for priests and clerics' (and based on the work of Fr Dehon). The Christology underlying this work has as its starting point the mystery of the Holy Trinity because Jesus exercised his priesthood united to the Father and anointed by the Holy Spirit. A priest makes progress in holiness through using the abundant helps at his disposal and by following the three great lines of spirituality: Jesus Christ as the centre, a life of commitment and sacrifice for God and his People, a way of living focused on love. Pastoral work flows spontaneously from this spiritual vision.

Die Bedeutung des Gemeinschaftslebens für das Apostolat bei Pater Dehon
FR – L'article nous fait découvrir deux piliers de la vie consacrée dehonienne, à savoir la vie communautaire et l'apostolat, dans leur relation réciproque et leur signification, l'une pour l'autre, tel que cela se manifeste dans les écrits du P. Dehon et au début de la Congrégation. L'étude se base sur la première partie du travail de licence de l'auteur, intitulé "Témoins et serviteurs de la communauté des hommes – La signification de la vie communautaire pour l'apostolat dans la Congrégation des Prêtres du Sacré-Coeur".
EN – Looking at the writings of Fr Dehon at the beginning of the Congregation, this article deals with the two pillars of Dehonian consecrated life: community life and the apostolate, as well as their reciprocal relationship and the meaning they give to each other. The work is based on the first part of the author's Licentiate thesis, entitled ‘Witnesses and Servants of the Human Community – The significance of the community life for the apostolate of the Sacred Heart Fathers.'

O Pe. Dehon e a formação
FR – Parler du P. Dehon comme formateur signifie parcourir une grande partie de sa vie, surtout à partir de son ordination sacerdotale le 19 décembre 1868. Jeune prêtre, le P. Dehon se préoccupe de la formation du clergé de son diocèse et de la France. Il s'engage pour permettre aux prêtres de répondre aux nouveaux défis présentés par l'industrialisation. En 1878, avec la fondation de la Congrégation des Oblats du Coeur de Jésus, il assume la charge de Maître des novices de son oeuvre. C'est lui qui forme les premiers religieux de la Congrégation. Depuis lors, comme Supérieur général, il ne négligera jamais ce secteur d'activité qu'il avait toujours à coeur. L'article montre comment le P. Dehon formait et orientait la formation au cours des premières années de l'Institut.
EN – To speak of Fr Dehon as a formator means covering a large part of his life, especially after his ordination on December 19, 1868. As a young priest, Fr Dehon was engaged in the formation of the clergy of his own diocese and the rest of France . He encouraged priests to respond to the new challenges of industrialisation. With the foundation of the Congregation of the Oblates of the Heart of Jesus in 1878, he assumed the task of directing his novices. He was the one who formed the first SCJ religious. Afterwards, as Superior General, he never neglected this activity and always had it close to his heart. The author shows the lines of formation that Fr Dehon followed at the beginning of the Congregation.

FR – Comme Marie-Madeleine, le religieux, guidé par l'Esprit Saint, abandonne toutes les entraves extérieures, pour arriver au coeur de son existence, un centre qui permet de voir ce qu'il est en train de chercher, de savourer ce dont il a faim, pour devenir ce qu'il recherche et pour annoncer la Bonne Nouvelle au monde entier.
EN – Like Mary Magdalene, religious men and women, guided by the Holy Spirit, leave aside all exterior things to seek the heart of existence. At this centre they discover what they are looking for and taste that for which they are hungry. By finding what they are seeking, religious are able to announce the good news to the world.

Religiosos y laicos en la Familia Dehoniana
FR – Par la générosité de l'Esprit Saint, le charisme d'un Fondateur peut difficilement rester enfermé à l'intérieur de l'institut religieux dans lequel il s'est incarné en un premier moment, parce que c'est un don fait à toute l'Église. Il peut donc être partagé, assumé par des prêtres, des religieuses et des laïcs, en vue de les aider à mieux vivre leur propre vie chrétienne, selon leur état particulier. Après avoir analysé, dans cette perspective, l'histoire récente de notre Congrégation, l'auteur réfléchit sur les avantages et les défis que suppose la constitution de la "Famille Dehonienne".
EN – Through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, the charism of Fr Dehon cannot remain solely within the religious institute in which it was first conceived, because it is a gift for the whole Church. It is meant to shared and accepted by priests, religious and lay people as they live out their own particular vocation and state of life. Having examined, from this perspective, the recent history of the Congregation, the author reflects on the advantages and challenges posed by the constitution of ‘The Dehonian Family.'
